Can you run Windows live messenger 8.5 in Xp? I got a problem when i have to install a new windows in my PC.  i search and get an idea how to run windows Live Messenger 8.5. Lets talk about  the trick.

if you have windows Live messenger 8.5 you can run it easily in XP. first you have to right click in the messenger icon. Then go to it's properties. And there you can see General, Shortcut, Compatibility tab, click on the compatibility, now you can see compatibility mode is unchecked, click there and you can see a drop-down menu select windows 2000 and click apply then click on OK . Now run the MSN messenger. Messenger will install again and now it will run and work.

The version 7.5 will also work doing same. But the video call ( web cam ) will not worked, all operation will run except webcam feature.
